1. What is the time limit for claiming T.A. Bill?

As per SR 194-A, it should be preferred within one year. Now the claim should be made within 60 days from the date of completion of journey as per MOF OM dated 15.6.2021. For LTC, it should be preferred within three months from the date of completion of the return journey and if the advance is paid, it should be preferred within one month.

2. Whether TA and Joining time is admissible in case of transfers at one’s own request?

As per SR 114,TA/Joining time is not admissible for transfer at own request. The Department of Posts vide its letter No. 17-3/94-PAP dated 18.12.1995 has conveyed the decision that transfer to place of choice after completion of full tenure should not be termed as transfer on own request under SR 114. It automatically follows that such transfers have to be classified as transfer for public convenience only.

3. What is the basis for calculation of DA on tour?

i) D.A. is calculated on a daily basis depending on the duration of  absence for each day from headquarters. 
ii) The day is taken from midnight to midnight. 
iii) The percentage of D.A. allowed on each day is 
a) For absence not exceeding 6 hours - No DA. 
b) For absence of more than 6 hours but not exceeding 12 hours-70%. 
c) For absence exceeding 12 hours -Full D.A. (i.e.) 100% 

4. How the D.A. on Tour will be regulated?
If the boarding and/or lodging is availed DA will be regularised. 
i) For free boarding & lodging - 25% of ordinary rate
ii)For free boarding alone - 50% of ordinary rate. 
iii)For free lodging alone - 75% of ordinary rate. 
iv)   For stay in office building - 75% of ordinary rate.
