96. Re direction charges
1. TD (Town Delivery) & Delivered to Alternate Address within the City (within TD limits):
• Charges: No additional charges are to be levied on the customer.
• Configuration: Charges should be set to "0" for this scenario.
2. TD (Town Delivery) & Delivered to Alternate Address Outside the City (outside TD limits):
• Charges: The customer will be charged the difference between the local tariff (paid at the time of booking) and the applicable postage for delivery from the booking office to the alternate address (outside TD limits).
• Example: A parcel booked in Delhi for delivery to Delhi (with Bengaluru as the alternate return address) will be charged the local tariff at the time of booking. If delivery cannot happen in Delhi, and the parcel is redirected to Bengaluru, the difference in tariff (Delhi to Bengaluru) will be charged to the customer as an "Alternate Delivery Charge."
3. NTD (Non-Town Delivery) & Delivered to Alternate Address within the City (within TD limits of the delivery office):
• Charges: No additional charges will be levied on the customer.
• Configuration: Charges should be set to "0" for this scenario.
4. NTD (Non-Town Delivery) & Delivered to Alternate Address Outside the City (outside TD limits of the delivery office):
• Charges: The customer will be charged 50% of the applicable postage from the place of delivery to the alternate address.
• Example: A parcel booked in Delhi for delivery to Mysuru, with Bengaluru as the alternate return address. If delivery cannot happen in Mysuru, and the parcel is redirected to Bengaluru, the customer will be charged 50% of the applicable postage from Mysuru to Bengaluru as the "Alternate Delivery Charge."
