The minimum period for
which Leave Without Allowance (LWA) may be granted is one month, commencing on
the first day of a calendar month.

Leave Without Allowance
(LWA) can be granted for a maximum duration of 180 days, after which any
further extension must be considered by the Chief Postmaster General.
· In the event of a transfer, the LWA record of the Union functionary must be promptly transferred to the new Division or Circle.
