However, due to the recent spate of orders and the high volume of information being received, I have not been able to convert every item into a video. Delay in offer of appointment order in Government jobs
• Due to non verification of character and antecedents many are not issued with the regular appointment orders.
• As per the Govt policy issued vide notification dated 2.7.1982 appointments need not be withheld and may issue provisional appointments pending such verification.
• As per the DOPT orders dated 28.6.2016 the exercise of verification should be carried out in six months time.
• If report is not received, the DG Police shall be addressed to provide verification within three months.
• Even after not received, Union Home Ministry will be requested to get the verification report from the concerned.
• The above provisions were confirmed in the DOPT OM dated 10.2.2017.
• Now the Dept of Posts endorsed both the orders to complete the verification and ensure action to avoid any delay in issuing appointment orders.
