Transfer of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) on Administrative/Vigilance Grounds – Addendum
Modifications to existing guidelines (dated 21.10.2019) regarding the transfer of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) on Administrative/Vigilance grounds was issued.
• Para 2 (D) v-a: ABPM/Dak Sevak (Level-2) can be transferred to BPM (Level-1) in TRCA Slab 2.
• Para 2 (D) v-b: Dak Sevak in RMS (Railway Mail Service) units can be transferred to ABPM/Dak Sevak in Postal units within the same TRCA slab.
• Para 2 (D) v-c: BPM/ABPM/Dak Sevak in Postal units can be transferred to Dak Sevak in RMS units within the same TRCA slab.
• Transfers mentioned in (a), (b), and (c) above are permitted only on administrative grounds and not on vigilance grounds
• It is now modified as Para 2 (D) viii: When transferring an ABPM/Dak Sevak/Dak Sevak (RMS) to the post of BPM (Level 1), the GDS must fulfill all prescribed educational qualifications and other eligibility criteria as specified by the Department from time to time.
• The transferred GDS must also undergo the mandatory training prescribed for BPM.
• Para 2 (D) ix: This point has been repealed.
