What instructions and timelines were issued by the Directorate regarding the timely convening of Departmental Promotion Committees (DPCs) for LSG, HSG-II, and HSG-I posts?

Following a meeting with Staff Unions in March 2026, it was brought to the Directorate's notice that DPCs for promotions are not being convened in a timely manner across Postal Circles. 

Pending DPCs for the vacancy year 2025 must be convened positively by 15.05.2026, with intimation sent to the Directorate. 

DPCs for the vacancy year 2026 regarding LSG, HSG-II, and HSG-I posts must be convened immediately, and a compliance report must be furnished to the Directorate by 15.06.2026. 

Strict adherence to these timelines is the direct responsibility of the Chairperson of the respective DPC, and any delays must be accompanied by specific reasons in the submitted status reports.
