Is there any restriction preventing Circles from holding Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meetings to fill up Higher Selection Grade-I (HSG-I) posts in the Savings Bank Control Organisation (SBCO) and Circle Office/Regional Offices (CO/RO)?
No. The Directorate has never issued instructions to prevent Circles from holding DPC meetings for filling up HSG-I posts in SBCO and CO/RO cadres. The onus lies on the Circles to hold these DPC meetings regularly to fill up the posts as per the provisions of the existing Recruitment Rules.
