Mandatory use of a mobile application for data updates during inspections.
• The initiative aims to ensure real-time, accurate, and validated data updates on the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan (NMP) Portal.
• Timely updates are critical as the data is regularly reviewed by the DPIIT.
• A mobile application developed by BISAG-N is now available on the Google Play Store for field functionaries.
• Procedural Steps for Inspectors:
1. Open the DoP Asset Mapping App on a mobile device.
2. Login with credentials provided by the Circle Office.
3. Select the specific office being inspected from the data layers.
4. Use the 'Edit' option to make necessary modifications.
5. Capture the latitude and longitude and click 'Submit'.
• Inspecting authorities, including Mail Overseers, must carry out these data updates invariably during every inspection.
• Circle Offices are required to consolidate the number and names of offices updated and share this report with the Parcel Directorate via email every month.
