Revised Schedule of Engaging Authority, Disciplinary Authority, and Appellate Authority (SEDA) for Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS):
• It refers to an earlier OM dated November 26, 2025, which shared the revised SEDA for all categories of GDS.
• Consequent upon the revision of the SEDA for GDS under Rule 31 of the GDS (Conduct and Engagement) Rules, 2020, the following actions must be taken in the field units, keeping in mind the upcoming GDS online engagement Schedule, January-2026:
• The Personal Files (PFs) of the ABPM/Dak Sevak, including all records and verification reports, which are currently maintained in the Sub-Divisional office, must be transferred to the Divisional office.
• This PF transfer exercise must be completed by December 20, 2025.
• Due to the change in the appointing authority, the representation of the reserved category will now be at the Divisional level for all GDS categories.
• Prescribed reservation norms for different categories (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwBD) must be followed for the Division as a whole.
• This exercise must be completed by December 26, 2025, so that vacancy capturing can begin on time.
• There will be no change in the timelines for the GDS Online Engagement Schedule 1, 2026, which the Directorate plans to notify in the first week of January, 2026.
