What are the revised guidelines regarding the appointment of pregnant women candidates to Central Government and Postal Department posts, and under what conditions can they be appointed straightway?

According to the revised instructions, it is no longer necessary to automatically declare a woman candidate as "Temporarily Unfit" if she is found to be pregnant during her pre-appointment medical examination. For posts that do not prescribe elaborate training or carry a hazardous nature of duties, pregnant candidates can be appointed straightway to the job so they do not suffer disqualification. However, for positions that involve hazardous duties or require the completion of a mandatory training period as a condition of service, such as in Police Organisations, the existing practice continues. In those specific hazardous cases, candidates pregnant of 12 weeks standing or more will be declared temporarily unfit, their vacancy will be kept reserved, and they will be re-examined for a fitness certificate six weeks after confinement.
