Agreement between the Department of Posts and Flipkart:
• The Department of Posts (DoP), Ministry of Communications, and Flipkart India Private Limited have signed an agreement to provide nationwide last-mile parcel delivery services for Flipkart shipments.
• The agreement was signed on May 22, 2026, in New Delhi
• The partnership combines India Post's unmatched delivery network with Flipkart's prominent e-commerce presence to offer efficient, reliable, and customer-centric parcel solutions.
• Flipkart will leverage India Post's vast network of over 1.6 lakh post offices to deliver parcels to urban, semi-urban, rural, and remote/underserved regions across India.
• The partnership covers the delivery of prepaid and cash-on-delivery (COD) parcels, features OTP-based delivery authentication, and offers real-time shipment tracking.
• The collaboration aims to provide faster deliveries, improve operational coordination, and implement seamless technology integration for smooth parcel movement.
• Flipkart will achieve wider market reach and better serviceability in remote areas, while the Department of Posts will boost its parcel business and advance its ongoing transformation into a leading logistics organization for India's digital economy.
