 Rules, Rights & Rites -102

I usually post all important items related to official rulings, union news, and other general matters on my YouTube channels: Yourskayveeyes (English) and Anbudan Kayveeyes (Tamil).

However, due to the recent spate of orders and the high volume of information being received, I have not been able to convert every item into a video. Therefore, I am introducing these new slots to post current matters and updates that have not yet been published on YouTube. This ensures you stay informed on every detail, even if a video hasn't been made yet …………….Kayveeyes

Proposed organizational design for the "Mail & Parcel" unit as part of an optimization effort.

The redesign aims to establish a clear customer-facing organization to improve service delivery. It focuses on streamlining operations to drive efficiency across the mail and parcel value chain.

The structure is intended to support business growth and market competitiveness in the parcel sector.

The design moves toward a clearer separation between "Commercial" (sales/marketing) and "Operations" (processing/delivery) to ensure specialized focus.

New roles are defined to provide end-to-end ownership of the parcel product life cycle, from pickup to final delivery.

The plan suggests consolidating fragmented functions into unified centers of excellence for better resource management.

Dedicated teams will focus on high-value corporate accounts and retail channel expansion.

Focuses on optimizing the transport network, sorting hubs, and last-mile delivery routes.

Specialized units will handle the design of new mail and parcel products and pricing strategies.

Includes integrated technology, HR, and finance functions specifically tailored to the Mail & Parcel business unit.

Implementation Roadmap

Phase 1: Structure Alignment: Finalizing reporting lines and key leadership appointments.

Phase 2: Role Detailing: Defining specific job descriptions and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for new roles.

Phase 3: Transition & Scaling: Gradually migrating staff to the new structure and monitoring performance metrics.
