What are the qualifying marks and the maximum number of chances permitted for general and reserved category candidates appearing in the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for the cadre of Inspector Posts?
Each of the four papers carries 300 marks.
General Category: Requires a minimum of 40% marks in each paper, subject to an overall average of 45%.
SC/ST Category: Requires a minimum of 33% marks in each paper, subject to an overall average of 38%.
General Category: A candidate is allowed a maximum of 4 chances to appear in the examination.
SC/ST Category: Eligible candidates are allowed a maximum of 6 chances. However, if an SC or ST candidate passes the exam on their 5th or 6th chance, they can only be appointed against a post reserved for their respective category.
