Children Education Allowance & Hostel subsidy

What are the current rates for Children Education Allowance (CEA) and Hostel Subsidy, and how do they change with Dearness Allowance?

The amount of Children Education Allowance is fixed at Rs. 2250/- per month per child, while the Hostel Subsidy is Rs. 6750/- per month. For Divyang children of Government servants, the reimbursement is payable at double the normal rate, totalling Rs. 4500/- per month. These rates are automatically raised by 25% every time the Dearness Allowance (DA) on the revised pay structure increases by 50%. These provisions are governed by OM No. A-27012/01/2017-Estt.(AL) dated 17.07.2018.
