One Day, One Minute, One Rule --– 15

15. As per the letter No. X-25/01/2021-SPN-II dated 09.09.2021, what are the revised instructions for conducting induction training for all new recruits in the Department of Posts?

The letter provides revised instructions for conducting induction training, primarily shifting it to an online mode for all new recruits, including those in Group B, Group C, and Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS).

The key instructions are:

Induction training will be conducted through an online mode, which includes a combination of self-learning via e-content and virtual classrooms.

The duration of the online induction training will be for 10 working days.

The training will be held from Monday to Friday, for a minimum of 4 hours per day.

The training will cover the first six weeks of the prescribed syllabus. The remaining portion of the training syllabus will be covered through an on-the-job training module, details of which will be issued separately.

An online examination will be conducted on the last day of the training. A passing score of 40% in each paper is required to successfully complete the training.

All Postal Training Centers (PTCs) and Regional Training Centers (RTCs) are responsible for coordinating, conducting, and evaluating the training and must submit a report to the Directorate.

The Chief Postmaster General must ensure that all new recruits have access to necessary infrastructure, such as computers/laptops with a stable internet connection, to participate in the online training.
