217. Whether LND can be granted for the private affairs?
No. As per DOPT OM No. 11012/1/85-Estt (L) dt. 20.06.88, LND can be granted only on medical grounds and not for private affairs.
218. Whether CL can be Combined with any other kind of leave?
CL cannot be combined with any other kind of leave vide Rule 11 of CCS (Leave) Rules 1972. But CL can be combined with special CL. Special CL can be combined with any other type of leave or CL but not with both at the same spell.

219. Whether Special casual leave can be availed during bundh etc. organized by political parties?
Special CL for the day of bundh shall be granted to the employees residing 3 miles away from the office and not able to attend office due to disturbance of traffic and also to all employees irrespective of distance in cases of picketing, disturbance and curfew.
220. Whether the members of the cooperative societies are entitled for special casual leave for society activities?
Members, Managing committee members and office bearers of co-operative societies formed exclusively with C. G. Employees and posted outside are eligible for a maximum period of 10 days special CL in a calendar year plus minimum period required for the journeys to attend such meetings. For those posted at same station, the special CL will be restricted to cover the actual period of such meetings.

221. Whether the disabled officials can be granted special CL for attending seminars?
Not more than 10 days in a calendar year may be granted for participating in the conferences/seminars trainings/ workshops related to disability and development related programmes organised by National and State level agencies to be sponsored by the Ministry of Social Justice & Environment.
