This issue has often resulted in innocent officials being implicated as subsidiary offenders due to password-related vulnerabilities.

To eliminate the risks associated with password misuse, it is recommended that biometric authentication be implemented as a replacement for password-based sign-ons in all software and modules. Biometric authentication offers enhanced security, removes the need for complex passwords, and greatly reduces the risk of unauthorized access.

By introducing biometric authentication, the Department can improve data security, protect employees from potential accusations of password misuse, and ensure a safer and more reliable system for managing sensitive information.

Biometric authentication be considered and implemented as a secure alternative to password-based sign-on processes across all departmental software and modules.
