"No Departmental Proceedings After Four Years" 

• The Punjab and Haryana High Court has ruled that departmental proceedings cannot be initiated against a retired government employee after four years from the date of the alleged misconduct. 

• The court emphasized that retired employees should be left in peace after this statutory period. 

• The High Court ordered the departmental proceedings in the specific case to be set aside, stating a complete ban on initiating such proceedings for events that occurred more than four years prior to the charge sheet's issuance.

• பஞ்சாப் மற்றும் ஹரியானா உயர் நீதிமன்றம், குற்றம் சாட்டப்பட்ட தேதியிலிருந்து நான்கு ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு ஓய்வு பெற்ற அரசு ஊழியருக்கு எதிராக துறை ரீதியான நடவடிக்கைகள் தொடங்கப்பட முடியாது என்று தீர்ப்பளித்துள்ளது. 

• இந்த சட்டப்பூர்வ காலத்திற்குப் பிறகு ஓய்வு பெற்ற ஊழியர்கள் அமைதியாக இருக்க வேண்டும் என்று நீதிமன்றம் வலியுறுத்தியது.

• குறிப்பிட்ட வழக்கில் உயர் நீதிமன்றம் துறை ரீதியான நடவடிக்கைகளை ரத்து செய்ய உத்தரவிட்டது, குற்றப்பத்திரிகை வழங்கப்படுவதற்கு நான்கு ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு நடந்த சம்பவங்களுக்கு அத்தகைய நடவடிக்கைகள் தொடங்குவதற்கு முழுமையான தடை விதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாகக் கூறியது.
