Reimbursement for Dental Treatment under CGHS

• The Staff Side notes that expenses for essential dental procedures like teeth implantation and denture fixation are not currently reimbursed, causing heavy out-of-pocket expenses for serving employees and pensioners. 

• During the 49th JCM Meeting, the Cabinet Secretary directed the Ministry of Health to explore options for covering essential dental treatments that were previously omitted. 

• The letter requests that both teeth implantation and denture fixation be formally added to the list of approved CGHS treatments as they are vital for maintaining a normal life.
