RTP case - order from the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Chennai Bench, dated April 10, 2026:
• The order involves several Original Applications, including O.A./12/2025, O.A./1553/2024, O.A./13/2025, O.A./14/2025, O.A./15/2025, O.A./340/2025, and O.A./341/2025 regarding regularisation of past services as TRTP for all purposes/
• The primary issue pertains to the "Counting of Past Service".
• Counsel for the applicant (CFA) submitted that the issue in question has already been decided by the Principal Bench and other coordinate Benches of the CAT.
• It was noted that previous orders granting similar relief have attained finality before the Supreme Court and have already been implemented by the respondents.
• The applicant in the current case is stated to be identically placed to those in the previously decided matters.
• Counsel for the respondent (CFR) mentioned that the Second Bench (CH-II) of the Chennai Tribunal has already passed orders in similar cases.
• Based on the submissions that similar cases are handled there, the matter has been transferred to the Second Bench (CH-II).
• The case is scheduled to be listed before CH-II on June 3, 2026.
• The order was passed by M.L. Srivastava, Member (Administrative).
