DA Clarification for Residential Training
115. According to the official clarification issued by the Training Division, what are the specific rules regarding the reimbursement of food bills and the distribution of Daily Allowance (DA) for employees attending residential Government-sponsored training programmes at Postal Training Centres or the Rafi Ahmed Kidwai National Postal Academy?
As per Order No. 01-24/2017-Trg. dated 04.05.2023, it is clarified that officials undergoing residential training are entitled to the full food bill per day based on their entitlement mentioned in the O.M. dated 13.07.2017. Specifically, a maximum of 80% of the approved rates for food bills is to be charged from the officers/officials to cover the costs at the training centers. The remaining 20% (or more) of the approved rate is retained by the officials to be spent on incidentals. The regulation of these food bills is strictly dependent on the length of absence from headquarters and the individual's entitlement level as defined in the referenced 2017 Office Memorandum.
