Admissibility of Travel by Tejas Express Trains for Official Purposes
110. According to Office Memorandum No. 19030/1/2017-E.IV dated 12.09.2022, what are the regulations and travel entitlements for Central Government employees using Tejas Express trains for official purposes?
As per the Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure O.M. No. 19030/1/2017-E.IV dated 12.09.2022, the Government has authorized Central Government employees to travel by Tejas Express trains for journeys related to official tours, training, transfers, and retirement. This inclusion is in addition to the categories of trains previously mentioned in the basic travel entitlement order dated 13.07.2017. The travel entitlement for these trains is specifically prescribed to be the same as that of Shatabdi Trains as defined in the original 2017 guidelines. These orders were issued with the approval of the Finance Secretary and Secretary (Expenditure) and in consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India for those serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department
