One Day, One Minute, One Rule --– 27
27. What changes were made to the distribution of Group 'C' and 'D' posts for the Army Postal Service (APS), and which circle has the highest number of posts allocated under the new distribution?
The sanctioned strength of the Army Postal Service (APS) was reduced from 4,601 posts to 3,029 posts. In response, the Department of Posts revised the deputation reserve quota and redistributed these 3,029 Group 'C' and 'D' posts among the various circles. This new distribution supersedes previous orders from March 24, 2008, and December 31, 2010. Circles are now required to maintain their specific sanctioned strength for the APS Deputation Reserve as outlined in the new annexure.
According to the new distribution, the U. P. Circlehas the highest number of posts with a total of 328. The posts are broken down as follows:
• Supervisor: 40
• PA/SA: 209
• Postman: 28
• MTS: 51
Tamilnadu : Supervisor 37. PA 112. Postman 28 MTS 49 Total 226.
