10. Whether TA/DA is entitled for second medical opinion?
Yes, subject to the following conditions.
(i) Maximum period of two days, calculated as tour
(ii) The employees should be sent for second medical opinion only in genuine cases and particularly when the employees is habitually on leave on medical grounds.

11. While claiming TA Bills, the receipt for food expenses is compulsory?
CAG, vide his letter No. 220-135- PC/GE II/2008 (III) dated 03.02.2010 clarified that as far as possible, staff should take its meals in establishment which provide receipts. However, in cases where obtaining receipts are impossible, a certificate in respect of expenditure incurred on account of Food Bills may be furnished by the officials. The earlier provision has not been amended or clarified by the Department or MOF and to apply the said provisions in other department.
12. What is the provisions of TA and joining time in case of transfers involving no change of residence or otherwise?
If there is no change of residence is involved, no TA will be paid and one day joining time will be allowed. If change of residence is involved for transfer upto 20 kms, full transfer TA and joining time based on distance is entitled. Further, Composite Transfer Grant equal to 1/3rd of basic pay will be granted. When on temporary transfer (Deputation) he is not entitled for any joining time. Only he can avail the actual transit time. He is entitled for TA/DA as on tour.
13. What is the provision of TA/DA for settlement after the retirement?
TA/DA is admissible to all regular employees put not less than 10 years service on their retirement and they can claim all entitlements as on transfer including composite transfer grant, and carriage of personal effects. They can claim the facility to them and their family from the last station of duty to either declared home town or to any other place where they wish to settle. This should be availed within one year from the date of retirement.
