Citizen Amendment Act 2019 - A Boost to Postal Service

• The Government notified the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019 vide its notification dated 12.12.2019, which came into force from 1.1.2020.
• The Ministry of Home Affairs, vide its Statutory Order dated 11.3.2024, specified the authority, in which the Postal Department has been given prominence.
• The Postmaster General or a postal officer not below the rank of Deputy Secretary will be one of the members in the State Level Committee.
• In respect of the District Level Committee, the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices (SSP) or Superintendent of Post Offices (SP) will be the designated officer.
• The Director of Postal Services (DPS) Headquarters will be the nodal officer at the Circle level for monitoring the implementation of the Act.
• This is really a boost to the Postal Department, and it is our pride to serve the nation.

• மாவட்ட அளவிலான குழுவைப் பொறுத்தவரை, முதுநிலை அஞ்சலகக் கண்காணிப்பாளர் (SSP) அல்லது அஞ்சலகக் கண்காணிப்பாளர் (SP) நியமிக்கப்பட்ட அதிகாரியாக இருப்பார்.
• சட்டத்தை செயல்படுத்துவதை கண்காணிப்பதற்காக வட்ட அளவில் அஞ்சல் சேவைகள் இயக்குனர் (DPS) தலைமையகம் nodal அதிகாரியாக இருக்கும்.
• இது உண்மையில் அஞ்சல் துறைக்கு ஒரு ஊக்கமாகும், மேலும் தேசத்திற்கு சேவை செய்வது நமது பெருமை.
