Delivery through Post Box
Persons/Institutions who are getting sufficiently good number of Postal articles can collect them from Post Office at their convenience through Post Box/Post Bags. Post Boxes are available on rent at certain Post Offices. Under this system only fully prepaid unregistered articles of letter mail addressed to the renter of the Post bearing the Post Box number are delivered through Post Box.
Any persons (including a firm or other body) who desirous to avail the facility of mails delivered through post box should submit an application in writing in the form prescribed for the purpose to the Postmaster concerned. On scrutiny and fulfilling the required condition, Postmaster will allot the next available Post Box number to the applicant.
Rent for Post Boxes/Post Bags:
1. Post Box/ Post Bag separately
One financial year Rs. 150.00
3 calendar months or part thereof Rs.50.00
2. Post Box/ Post Bag together
One financial year Rs. 250.00
3 calendar months or part thereof Rs. 80.00
∙ Prescribed rent should be paid in advance.
∙ Necessary deposit towards cost of lock and key plus Rs.2 paid on allotment of PB.
∙ In case of loss of key, the renter will be responsible for it.
∙ Renewal should be done before the expiry of the rental period.
∙ If the PB is not renewed, the key should be returned within 15 days of the expiry.
∙ PB can be cleared at anytime during the business hours of the PO.
∙ There must be PB numbers on the articles to be delivered through PBs. ∙ If the PB is not cleared for a week, a notice will be sent by Regd post to the renter. Even then if it is not cleared, the articles will be delivered through Postman.
Post Bag:
∙ The system of delivery of postal articles in a bag is available at all delivery Post Offices whether PB system is available or not.
∙ The renter arranges for a bag with duplicate keys, one is kept in the PO.
∙ The rules of Post Box are applicable to the renting of Post Bags also. ∙ The locked bag with fully prepaid unregistered articles is handed over to the renter or messenger during the working hours.
∙ The same bag with the exception of those rental in combination with post box may be used by the renter for dispatching to the Post Office, fully prepaid Unregistered letters, postcards, inland letter cards, newspapers and packets for posting.

தபால் பெட்டி மூலம் டெலிவரி
போதுமான எண்ணிக்கையிலான தபால் கட்டுரைகளைப் பெறும் நபர்கள்/நிறுவனங்கள் தபால் பெட்டி/தபால் பைகள் மூலம் தபால் அலுவலகத்திலிருந்து தங்கள் வசதிக்கேற்ப அவற்றை சேகரிக்கலாம். சில தபால் அலுவலகங்களில் தபால் பெட்டிகள் வாடகைக்கு கிடைக்கின்றன. இந்த அமைப்பின் கீழ், தபால் பெட்டி எண்ணைக் கொண்டு தபால் பெட்டியின் வாடகைதாரருக்கு முகவரியிடப்பட்ட கடிதத் தபால்களின் முழுமையாக முன்கூட்டியே செலுத்தப்பட்ட பதிவு செய்யப்படாத கட்டுரைகள் மட்டுமே தபால் பெட்டி மூலம் வழங்கப்படும்.
தபால் பெட்டி மூலம் வழங்கப்படும் தபால்களின் வசதியைப் பெற விரும்பும் எந்தவொரு நபரும் (நிறுவனம் அல்லது பிற அமைப்புகள் உட்பட) சம்பந்தப்பட்ட போஸ்ட்மாஸ்டருக்கு இதற்காக பரிந்துரைக்கப்பட்ட படிவத்தில் எழுத்துப்பூர்வமாக விண்ணப்பத்தை சமர்ப்பிக்க வேண்டும். ஆய்வு மற்றும் தேவையான நிபந்தனையை பூர்த்தி செய்தவுடன், போஸ்ட்மாஸ்டர் விண்ணப்பதாரருக்கு அடுத்த கிடைக்கக்கூடிய தபால் பெட்டி எண்ணை ஒதுக்கீடு செய்வார்.
தபால் பெட்டிகள்/தபால் பைகளுக்கான வாடகை:

தபால் பெட்டி/தபால் பை தனித்தனியாக ஒரு நிதியாண்டு ரூ. 150.00 3 காலண்டர் மாதங்கள் அல்லது அதன் பகுதி ரூ.50.00

தபால் பெட்டி/தபால் பை ஒன்றாக ஒரு நிதியாண்டு ரூ. 250.00 3 காலண்டர் மாதங்கள் அல்லது அதன் பகுதி ரூ. 80.00
- பரிந்துரைக்கப்பட்ட வாடகையை முன்கூட்டியே செலுத்த வேண்டும்.
- பூட்டு மற்றும் சாவியின் விலைக்கான தேவையான வைப்புத்தொகை மற்றும் PB ஒதுக்கீட்டில் ரூ.2 செலுத்த வேண்டும்.
- சாவி தொலைந்து போனால், வாடகைதாரர் அதற்கு பொறுப்பாவார்.
- வாடகை காலம் முடிவதற்குள் புதுப்பித்தல் செய்யப்பட வேண்டும்.
- PB புதுப்பிக்கப்படாவிட்டால், காலாவதியான 15 நாட்களுக்குள் சாவியை திருப்பித் தர வேண்டும்.
- PO இன் வணிக நேரங்களில் PB ஐ எந்த நேரத்திலும் கிளியர் செய்யலாம்.
- PBs மூலம் டெலிவரி செய்ய வேண்டிய கட்டுரைகளில் PB எண்கள் இருக்க வேண்டும்.
- PB ஒரு வாரம் கிளியர் செய்யப்படாவிட்டால், வாடகைதாரருக்கு பதிவு செய்யப்பட்ட தபால் மூலம் அறிவிப்பு அனுப்பப்படும். அப்போதும் கிளியர் செய்யப்படாவிட்டால், கட்டுரைகள் தபால்காரர் மூலம் வழங்கப்படும்.
தபால் பை:
- தபால் கட்டுரைகளை ஒரு பையில் டெலிவரி செய்யும் முறை அனைத்து டெலிவரி தபால் அலுவலகங்களிலும் கிடைக்கிறது, PB அமைப்பு உள்ளதா இல்லையா என்பதைப் பொருட்படுத்தாமல்.
- வாடகைதாரர் இரட்டை சாவிகளுடன் ஒரு பையை ஏற்பாடு செய்கிறார், ஒன்று PO இல் வைக்கப்படுகிறது.
- தபால் பைகளை வாடகைக்கு எடுப்பதற்கும் தபால் பெட்டியின் விதிகள் பொருந்தும்.
- முழுமையாக முன்கூட்டியே செலுத்தப்பட்ட பதிவு செய்யப்படாத கட்டுரைகளுடன் பூட்டப்பட்ட பை வேலை நேரங்களில் வாடகைதாரர் அல்லது தூதரிடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்படுகிறது.
- தபால் பெட்டியுடன் இணைந்து வாடகைக்கு எடுக்கப்பட்டவை தவிர அதே பையை, வாடகைதாரர் தபால் அலுவலகத்திற்கு அனுப்புவதற்கு பயன்படுத்தலாம், முழுமையாக முன்கூட்டியே செலுத்தப்பட்ட பதிவு செய்யப்படாத கடிதங்கள், தபால் அட்டைகள், உள்நாட்டு கடித அட்டைகள், செய்தித்தாள்கள் மற்றும் பொதிகள் இடுவதற்கு.
