PA Recruitment Rule Amendment 2022

• The Department of Posts amended the PA Recruitment Rules 2022 (GSR 21(E) dated 13.1.2023), creating some potential confusion.

• Amendment: A new provision in Part B, Column 11, states that officials in Level 1, 2, & 3 who rendered regular GDS service before the 2022 Recruitment Rules were issued (17.6.2022) will have their total service (including GDS service) counted as 5 years.

• Original Rule: The 2022 Recruitment Rules originally stipulated 8 years of service (including GDS service) in Part B.

• Clarification: The amendment reduces this requirement to 5 years for those who joined the Department before 17.6.2022. Those joining as GDS after 17.6.2022 must still complete 8 years. All other cases remain at 8 years, as per the original Recruitment Rules.

• Eligibility for Category B: Those promoted to Postman or MTS with 5 years of service (including GDS service) are eligible for Category B. Others continue to require 8 years.

• Tamil Nadu Circle Clarification: The Chief PMG of Tamil Nadu Circle has clarified that those who joined as GDS before 17.6.2022 and currently hold Level 1 & 2 posts with 5 years of service are eligible to take the exam.

தபால் உதவியாளர் ஆட்சேர்ப்பு விதி திருத்தம் 

• தபால் துறை, தபால் உதவியாளர் ஆட்சேர்ப்பு விதிகள் 2022 ஐ (GSR 21(E) தேதி 13.1.2023) திருத்தியது, இது சில குழப்பங்களை ஏற்படுத்தக்கூடும்.

• திருத்தம்: பகுதி B, பத்தி 11 இல் ஒரு புதிய விதி சேர்க்கப்பட்டுள்ளது, இது நிலை 1, 2 & 3 இல் உள்ள அதிகாரிகள், 2022 ஆட்சேர்ப்பு விதிகள் வெளியிடப்படுவதற்கு முன் வழக்கமான GDS சேவையை வழங்கியிருந்தால் (17.6.2022), அவர்களின் மொத்த சேவை (GDS சேவை உட்பட) 5 ஆண்டுகளாகக் கணக்கிடப்படும் என்று கூறுகிறது.

• அசல் விதி: 2022 ஆட்சேர்ப்பு விதிகள் முதலில் பகுதி B இல் 8 வருட சேவை (GDS சேவை உட்பட) என்று குறிப்பிட்டன.

• தெளிவுபடுத்தல்: இந்த திருத்தம், 17.6.2022 க்கு முன் துறையில் சேர்ந்தவர்களுக்கு இந்தத் தேவையை 8 வருடத்திலிருந்து 5 வருடமாகக் குறைக்கிறது. 17.6.2022 க்குப் பிறகு GDS ஆகச் சேருபவர்கள் இன்னும் 8 வருடங்களை முடிக்க வேண்டும். மற்ற அனைத்து சந்தர்ப்பங்களிலும், அசல் ஆட்சேர்ப்பு விதிகளின்படி 8 வருடங்கள் அப்படியே இருக்கும்.

• பிரிவு B க்கு தகுதி: 5 வருட சேவை (GDS சேவை உட்பட) கொண்ட தபால்காரர் அல்லது MTS ஆக பதவி உயர்வு பெற்றவர்கள் பிரிவு B இன் கீழ் வரத் தகுதியுடையவர்கள். மற்றவர்களுக்கு 8 வருடங்கள் தொடர்ந்து தேவை.

• தமிழ்நாடு வட்ட தெளிவுபடுத்தல்: 17.6.2022 க்கு முன் GDS ஆகச் சேர்ந்து தற்போது 5 வருட சேவைடன் நிலை 1 & 2 பதவிகளை வகிப்பவர்கள் தேர்வெழுதத் தகுதியுடையவர்கள் என்று தமிழ்நாடு வட்டத்தின் தலைமை PMG தெளிவுபடுத்தியுள்ளார்.
