EL Credit
o 15 days credited twice a year (on 1st January & 1st July).
o Max accumulation allowed: 300 days.
EL for Employees Joining/Leaving Mid-Year
o Earned at 2.5 days per completed month.
o If joining a new post without full joining time, unavailed joining time (max 15 days) are credited as EL.
EL Carry Forward & Adjustment
o EL at the end of a half-year carries forward but must not exceed 300 days.
o If EL is 285-300 days, the next 15 days’ credit is stored separately and adjusted against future leave.
EL Adjustments for EOL & Dies-Non
o 1/10th of EOL & Dies-non in a half-year is deducted from next half-year’s EL credit (max 15 days deduction).
EL on Retirement, Resignation, or Death
o Retirement/Resignation → 2.5 days per completed month till last working day.
o Removal/Dismissal → EL credited till the end of the previous month.
o Death → EL credited till the date of death.
Maximum Leave at a Time
o 180 days.
