அலந்தார்க்கு ஒன்று ஈந்த புகழும், துளங்கினும்
தன் குடிமை குன்றாத் தகைமையும், அன்பு ஓடி
நாள் நாளும் நட்டார்ப் பெருக்கலும், - இம் மூன்றும்
கேள்வியுள் எல்லாம் தலை. . . . .[41]

"அலந்தார்க்கு ஒன்று ஈந்த புகழும்" - துன்பப்படுபவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்வதால் வரும் புகழ்

"துளங்கினும் தன் குடிமை குன்றாத் தகைமையும்" - வறுமை வந்தாலும் தன் குடிப்பெருமையை இழக்காத பண்பு

"அன்பு ஓடி நாள் நாளும் நட்டார்ப் பெருக்கலும்" - அன்பின் மூலம் தினமும் நண்பர்களின் வட்டத்தை விரிவாக்குதல்

"இம் மூன்றும் கேள்வியுள் எல்லாம் தலை" - இந்த மூன்று பண்புகளும் கல்வியறிவில் மிக உயர்ந்தவை என்கிறது.

இவை அனைத்தும் கல்வியறிவில் முக்கியமானவை என்பதை வலியுறுத்துகிறது. 

துன்பப்படுவோருக்கு ஈதலும், வறுமையான காலத்திலும் ஒழுக்கத்தோடு இருத்தலும், நட்பு செய்தவரைப் பெருகச் செய்தலும் முதன்மையான அறங்களாகும்

These three qualities ("these three") are said to be the highest among all forms of knowledge ("inquiry").

This verse highlights that these three qualities are essential for true education:

• Charity and compassion towards those in need.
• Maintaining integrity and nobility even in difficult circumstances.
• Cultivating and expanding friendships through love and kindness.

In essence, this verse emphasizes that true education goes beyond intellectual knowledge and encompasses moral values, compassion, and social responsibility.
