Rulings governing Joining time
Joining time is admissible based upon the distance between the old and new stations as follows

In case of air travel, the maximum joining time available is 12 days.
Note: -
(I) One day's joining
time is admissible when the transfer
is made to a new post at the same station or it does not involve
a change of residence.
(ii)
In cases involving transfer from one station to another and also
involving change of residence, joining
time will be admissible with reference to the
distance between the old and new stations.
(iii) When holiday(s) follow(s) joining
time, the normal joining time shall be deemed to have been extended
to cover such holiday(s)
(iv) No joining time is admissible for the transfers at own request. However, officials posted to their station of choice after completion of full tenure will be entitled for joining time.
