According to the regulations outlined in Chapter 31, (Regulation of Grant of Fortnightly Off for RMS Staff in Mail Offices) the grant of fortnightly off is determined by the total working hours completed in a 28-day cycle:
1. 186 Hours or More: Staff are entitled to a Fortnightly Off plus the rest attached (one night duty + full rest). In a typical fortnight, they would take the off on the 13th day, the attached rest on the 14th day, and return to duty only on the 15th day.
2. Below 186 Hours: Staff are entitled only to a Fortnightly Off equivalent to one night duty plus one day rest. As shown in the provided example (where total hours reached 178), staff would earn one FN off on the 13th day but must perform duty on the 14th day.
