Revised Rates of Fixed Conveyance Allowance
130. What are the latest revised monthly rates for Fixed Conveyance Allowance for Central Government employees under the 7th CPC, and what is the relevant order and effective date?
The rates for Fixed Conveyance Allowance were initially revised following the 7th CPC recommendations via Office Memorandum F.No. 19039/03/2017-E.IV dated 19th July, 2017. A specific modification to these rates was later issued through a Corrigendum (No. 19039/3/2017-E.IV) dated 13th December, 2023.
• Effective Date: The original revised rates became effective from 1st July, 2017.
• Latest Revised Rates (Per Month):
o 201–300 km: ₹1,680 (Own Car) / ₹556 (Other Modes).
o 301–450 km: ₹2,520 (Own Car) / ₹720 (Other Modes).
o 451–600 km: ₹3,105 (Own Car — Revised in 2023) / ₹960 (Other Modes).
o 601–800 km: ₹3,646 (Own Car) / ₹1,126 (Other Modes).
o Above 800 km: ₹4,500 (Own Car) / ₹1,276 (Other Modes).
• These rates automatically increase by 25% whenever the Dearness Allowance (DA) on the revised pay structure reaches 50%.
