128. What are the revised rates and conditions for the grant of Fixed Conveyance Allowance as per the official order issued by the Ministry of Finance in 2017?
Under Order No. 19039/03/2017-E.IV, dated 19th July, 2017, the Department of Expenditure revised the Fixed Conveyance Allowance for Central Government employees. Effective from 1st July, 2017, the rates are determined by the average monthly travel on official duty. For instance, employees traveling 201–300 km receive ₹1680 for their own motor car or ₹556 for other modes, while those traveling over 800 km receive ₹4500 or ₹1276 respectively. These rates are set to automatically increase by 25% whenever the Dearness Allowance on the revised pay structure reaches 50%. While these new rates supersede previous orders from 2008, the standard conditions and provisions mentioned in SR 25 continue to apply
