76. • Grant of notional monetary benefit to Postmen and Mail Guards from 01-01-1996 to 10-10-1997 in the revised pay scale of Rs. 3050-4590/-.
• The order is a consequence of implementing the Hon'ble Supreme Court order dated 07.05.2015 in Civil Appeal No. 2010/2009 filed by All India Postal Employees Union. The Union had originally demanded the upgraded pay scale from 01.01.1996 instead of 10.10.1997.
• The competent authority granted notional monetary benefit for the period 01-01-1996 to 10-10-1997 in the pay scale of Rs. 3050-4590/-.
• The employees will not be entitled for any arrears of wages/salaries for the interregnum period, i.e., from 01-01-1996 to 10-10-1997.
