76. The order is a consequence of implementing the Hon'ble Supreme Court order dated 07.05.2015 in Civil Appeal No. 2010/2009 filed by All India Postal Employees Union. The Union had originally demanded the upgraded pay scale from 01.01.1996 instead of 10.10.1997.
The competent authority granted notional monetary benefit for the period 01-01-1996 to 10-10-1997 in the pay scale of Rs. 3050-4590/-.
The employees will not be entitled for any arrears of wages/salaries for the interregnum period, i.e., from 01-01-1996 to 10-10-1997.
