113. If an employee is dismissed or removed, he is not entitled to any retirement benefit like pension, gratuity etc. Is there any other provisions?
On compassionate ground, compassionate Allowance not exceeding 2/3rd of compassionate pension or gratuity or both may be granted. The compassionate Allowance shall not be less than Rs. 3500/- per month. DA is also admissible.

114. What is the period for preferring an appeal against the notice / order of premature retirement under FR 56 (j)?
He may represent within three weeks from the date of service of such a notice/order for consideration by the appropriate committee.
115. When more than one penalty of withholding of increments are imposed, how it can be executed?
In such cases, the first penalty order shall be given effect for the specified period. Thereafter, the increments due to the employees will be allowed and then next penalty order will be implemented from the date of next increment due to him and so on for third and subsequent penalties.

116. Some disciplinary authority while awarding a penalty, use the phrase of withholding of next increment. Will it be correct?
No. They should not use next increment. DG P&T vide letter No. 20-41/66-Disc dt. 14.4.67 clarified that as the phrase, next increment, refers to all the increment that may accrue during the period of punishment, it should not be used where the intention is to withhold only one increment for the specified period.
