In case of foreign mail, action as below is taken
Letter for foreign country marked "registered" found in letter box: This will be compulsorily registered if it is fully prepaid for postage and registration charge for foreign country. If it is fully prepaid for postage and registration and not for acknowledgement, their acknowledgement is removed and the word ”with acknowledgement" is scored out. If the postage is sufficient for airmail then the superscription "regd" is scored out and article is dispatched as unregistered.
