"கண்ணுக்கு அணிகலம் கண்ணோட்டம்" - கண்களுக்கு அழகு தரும் அணிகலன் கருணை பார்வை

"காமுற்ற பெண்ணுக்கு அணிகலம் நாண் உடைமை" - பெண்களுக்கு உண்மையான அணிகலன் நாணம் (வெட்கம்)

"நண்ணும் மறுமைக்கு அணிகலம் கல்வி" - மறுபிறவியில் நன்மை தரக்கூடிய அணிகலன் கல்வி

"இம் மூன்றும் குறியுடையோர்கண்ணே உள" - இந்த மூன்று அணிகலன்களும் நல்ல குணம் உடையவர்களிடம் மட்டுமே காணப்படும்

வெளி அழகை விட உள் அழகே முக்கியம். கருணை, நாணம், கல்வி ஆகியவை மனிதனை அழகு படுத்தும் உயர்ந்த பண்புகள். இவை இயல்பாக அமைந்த நற்குணங்கள்; வெளியில் அணியும் ஆபரணங்கள் போல வாங்க முடியாதவை. அழகு என்பது வெளி அலங்காரத்தில் இல்லை, மாறாக நற்குணங்களில் இருக்கிறது.

கண்களுக்கு அணிகலம் கண்ணாடுதல், பெண்ணுக்கு அணிகலம் நாணம், மறுபிறப்புக்கு அணிகலன் கல்வி அறிவு. இம்மூன்றும் ஆராயும் இயல்புடையாரிடத்தில் உள்ளன.

"Education is the ornament for the afterlife" - This underscores the importance of knowledge and learning, emphasizing that education is a lifelong pursuit that benefits not only this life but also the hereafter.

"These three are found in those who possess good qualities" - This concludes by stating that these three ornaments - kindness, modesty, and education - are inherent qualities found in individuals who possess true virtue and character.
