Unbroken Spirit - A Union's Journey
We are not shadows that fade
But flames that light the darkest trade
Twenty months they tried to break
Our recognition they did take
But our spirit? That's our own to make!
They can withdraw a piece of paper
But can they dim our labor's vapor?
The courts have spoken clear and bright:
"Restore what's theirs - it is their right!"
Yet silence echoes through postal halls
While justice waits behind their walls
Remember this, dear sisters, brothers:
Our strength flows from one to others
Like rivers joining mighty seas Like winds
that bend the strongest trees
We stand together, proud and tall
United we rise, divided we fall
They think we'll tire
They think we'll break
They underestimate
The power we make
When thousands of voices Rise as one
When thousands of hearts Beat like a drum
Our recognition they may deny
But our unity they cannot buy
Each letter posted, each mail delivered
Carries the spirit of workers unbridled
Through rain and storm, through dark and light
We keep our service burning bright
Tomorrow waits with open arms
As history writes its truthful psalms
Of how we stood, how we fought
How victory came, though long we sought
For justice lives in patient hearts
And union strength never parts
Let them know, let them see
The power of workers unity
No force can break, no time can wear
The bonds of those who truly care
For what was taken shall return
When righteous fires brightly burn
Stand tall! Stand proud!
Stand strong! Stand true!
The future belongs to me and you
For every worker's cherished right
Shines eternal in freedom's light
Our voice will rise, our day will come
When justice and victory become one!
Our struggle is the sunrise
Our unity the dawn
Though recognition's held at bay
Our spirit marches on!
