Kayveeyes’ Daily Rules Recap
20. Drawal of increment during the Joining time
• Joining Time: This refers to the period between the date of relinquishing a previous government post and the date of actually joining the new post.
• Pay During Joining Time: A government servant's pay during joining time remains the same as their last drawn pay on their previous post.
• Increment During Joining Time: If an increment is due to the employee during this joining time period, they will receive it only upon officially joining their new duties.
During joining time, a Government servant will draw pay equal to pay drawn on the date of relinquishing charge of the old post. Hence, increment falling due during the period of Joining Time will be drawn only on joining duty.(Rule 7, CCS (JT) Rules)
