51. Is there any time limit prescribed to avail the compensatory off provided in lieu of OTA?
Compensation off is to be granted within a month of its becoming due, which can be relaxed by the HOD on account of administrative convenience. (DG (P) No. 3-4/77-PCC dated 01.07.1982)

52. If one Group D arrangement is there, can it be managed by ordering OTA or any short term arrangement to be made? 
The first preference for short-term arrangements should be given to ED Agents. Group D employees may be brought on over time duty when ED Agents are not readily available. (DG (P) No. 3-4/77-PCC dated 01.07.1982)

CHILD CARE ALLOWANCE
53. What is child care allowance? 

Women employees with disabilities are paid Rs. 1,000 p.m. as Special Allowance for child care. It is payable for a maximum of two children from childbirth until the child is two years old. (DOPT OM No. 12012/3/2010-Estt (AL) dated 12.08.2010)

54. Whether the Special Allowance for child care for women with disability is admissible for the third child in case the first two children expire before attaining the age of two years? 
It is admissible for two years from the birth of the child so long as the woman employee does not have more than two surviving children. (DOPT OM No. 12012/3/2010-Estt (AL) dated 12.08.2010)

55. Whether cash overseers or other indoor staff performing duties of cash overseer are entitled to the grant of OTA for the detention beyond normal duty hours? 
Yes, they are entitled to the grant of OTA for detention beyond normal duty hours. (DG (P) No. 3-4/77-PCC dated 01.07.1982)
