127. According to Office Memorandum No. F.3(9)-E.II(A)/95 dated 6th September, 1995, what change was made regarding the use of Government staff cars on Sundays?
Under Office Memorandum No. F.3(9)-E.II(A)/95 dated 6th September, 1995, the Department of Expenditure decided to withdraw the previous restrictions (imposed by OM dated 22nd August, 1990) which had prohibited the use of staff cars and Government vehicles on Sundays, except for emergency or unavoidable operational duties. With the issuance of this 1995 order, the use of staff cars on Sundays is no longer prohibited; however, the memorandum specifies that existing economy instructions regarding the ceiling on petrol and diesel consumption for Government vehicles remain in full force.
