92. What is the requirement regarding the submission of Boarding Passes with Travelling Allowance (TA) bills for air journeys performed on Government account, as per the Office Memorandum with the Order No. 19030/3/2014-E.IV?
The Office Memorandum bearing the Order No. 19030/3/2014-E.IV, dated the 8th October, 2014, advises that all concerned personnel are required to follow the instructions for the submission of Boarding Passes along with Travelling Allowance (TA) bills.
The submission of Boarding Passes is a requirement under the existing rules and procedures as proof of having undertaken the journey for which the TA is being claimed.
The Controller General of Accounts has clarified that Pay and Account Offices are mandated to ask the DDOs (Drawing and Disbursing Officers) to produce records, such as Boarding Passes, to ensure the journey was actually performed
