One Day, One Minute, One Rule – 102. TA/DA for Perusing Documents in Disciplinary Proceedings
102. What modification did the Ministry of Finance introduce on April 1, 1987, regarding the Traveling Allowance (TA) and Daily Allowance (DA) granted to government servants who travel to examine documents for their defence in disciplinary proceedings?
The Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, issued O.M. No. 19011//1/86-3.IV on 1.4.1987 , addressing the grant of TA/DA to government servants undertaking journeys to out-stations to peruse official documents for their defence in disciplinary proceedings.
The President was pleased to decide, in modification of a previous O.M. dated October 20, 1959, that the Traveling Allowance (TA) admissible to government servants for perusal of documents (as if on tour) will also include Daily Allowance (DA) for halts.
However, this Daily Allowance for halts is restricted to a maximum of three days only. All other terms and conditions stipulated in the original O.M. dated 20.10.1959 will remain unchanged. These new orders take effect from the date of issue
