47. Regarding reservation of inspections quarters/inspection rooms for union representatives
• The Staff Federation raised the issue of providing Inspection Quarter accommodation to touring Union office bearers.
• Reference is made to Rule 610(B) of the P&T Manual Volume II, along with Para 2 of Appendix II of the Manual, regarding this matter.
• Controlling officers of Inspection Quarters and Inspection Rooms are authorized to use their discretion to allow Circle and National Level office bearers (not covered by the existing rule and appendix) to utilize these accommodations in exceptional cases.
• These instructions are to be brought to the attention of all concerned for their information, guidance, and implementation.
• This information is based on DG (P) No. 14-2/2003-SR dated March 8, 2004.
Regarding reservation of inspections quarters/inspection rooms for union representatives
The staff Federation had taken up the issue of provision of Inspection Quarter accommodation to touring Union Officer bearers. In this connections, kindly refer to Rule 610(B) P&T manual Volume II read with Para 2 of Appendix II of the Manual.
2. Controlling officers of Inspection Quarters and Inspection Rooms may exercise their discretion for utilization of the same by Circle and National Level office bearers in exceptional cases who are not covered under the Rule and Appendix quoted above.
3. These instructions may kindly be brought to the notice of all concerned for information, guidance and implementation.
