Parents in law of Male Govt servants are now eligible to avail CGHS facilities

• As per the existing rules, female Government servants could include either their parents or parents-in-law for the benefits under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) based on the dependency conditions.

• Now, both male and female Government servants have the choice to include their parents or parents-in-law for the CGHS under the dependency conditions.

• The definition of 'family' has been modified to this extent.

• Male CGHS cardholders can now include their parents-in-law if they are dependent upon them.

• These changes are based on the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare Office Memorandum No. 11020/2/2023-EHS dated 26.7.2023 and Directorate General of Posts (P) No 6-1/2024-Medical dated 22.2.2024.

• விதிமுறைகளின்படி, பெண் அரசு ஊழியர்கள் மத்திய அரசு சுகாதாரத் திட்டத்தின் (CGHS) பலன்களுக்காக தங்கள் பெற்றோர் அல்லது மாமியார்/மாமனாரை சேர்க்க முடிந்தது. 

• இப்போது, ஆண் மற்றும் பெண் அரசு ஊழியர்கள் இருவருக்கும் CGHS-ல் தங்கள் பெற்றோர் அல்லது மாமியார்/மாமனாரை சேர்க்கும் விருப்பம் உள்ளது.

• குடும்பம் என்பதன் வரையறை இந்த அளவிற்கு மாற்றியமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

• ஆண் CGHS அட்டைதாரர்கள் தங்கள் மாமியார்/மாமனார் உங்களைச் சார்ந்திருந்தால் அவர்களைச் சேர்க்கலாம். 

• இந்த மாற்றங்கள் சுகாதாரம் மற்றும் குடும்ப நல அமைச்சகத்தின் அலுவலகக் குறிப்பு எண். 11020/2/2023-EHS தேதியிட்ட 26.7.2023 மற்றும் தபால் துறை இயக்குநர் ஜெனரல் (பி) எண் 6-1/2024-மருத்துவம் தேதியிட்ட 22.2.2024 ஆகியவற்றின் அடிப்படையில் அமைந்தவை.
