Formation of new divisions aligned with the boundaries with revenue districts

• The Director General (Posts), via his Demi-Official (DO) letter No.Q-25/15/2023-PE I-DOP dated 26.10.2023, directed the postal circles to rationalize the postal divisions, aligning them with the boundaries of revenue districts.
• The intention behind this DO letter was to establish new postal divisions based on these revenue boundaries.
• The postal circles were instructed to send their proposals immediately to ensure implementation with effect from 1.1.2024.
• However, the Directorate, through its letter of even number dated 16.2.2024, has now directed that the status quo be maintained in this matter.
• As such, the proposal for forming postal divisions according to revenue districts would likely be considered dropped.

• இருப்பினும், இயக்குநரகம் தனது அதே எண்ணிட்ட கடிதம் தேதியிட்ட 16.2.2024 மூலம், இந்த விஷயத்தில் தற்போதைய நிலையே தொடர வேண்டும் என்று இப்போது உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது.
