80. What is the opportunity provided to the suspended employee to appeal against suspension?
He may prefer an appeal against an order of suspension within 45 days of service of the order or from the order itself if he becomes aware of the reasons leading to the suspension. If the reasons could not be ascertained, the appeal can be preferred within 5 days from the date of receipt of charge sheet or communication intimating the reasons for suspension whichever is earlier.
81. Whether the reasons for suspension should be recorded or not?
Yes. It should be recorded as per DG P&T letter dated 19.07.1976. The reasons if not supplied can be obtained by RTI for further process.=
82. Whether suspension/deemed suspension can be revoked by the suspending authority or not?
Yes. The suspending authority or his superiors can modify or revoke the suspension vide Rule 10 (5) (c) of CCS (CCA) Rules.
83. Whether the suspended employee who has been provided with quarters shall vacate the Quarters during suspension?
No. He will not be required to vacate the accommodation unless the accommodation is specifically attached to any other post.

84. Whether an official who is under suspension is entitled for Family Planning Allowance due his spouse underwent family planning operation during the suspension period?
It cannot be drawn during the suspension period as per the existing rules. However, on reinstatement after suspension, he is entitled to the allowance and its date of effect depends on how the period of his suspension will be treated.
