Whether delayed submission of LTC bills allowed? If so up to what period? Who is the authority in sanction of the claim?

• Leave Travel Concession (LTC) claims should preferably be submitted within three months after the completion of the return journey. If an advance has been taken, the claim should be presented within one month.
• As per the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) Office Memorandum (OM) dated 27.9.2007, these time limits can be relaxed up to six months if no advance was taken and up to three months if an advance was taken.
• In cases where an LTC advance was taken but the claim was not submitted within one month, the entire advance amount should be refunded within 45 days.
• Now, the authority to sanction the relaxation of these time limits has been delegated to officers of the department not below the rank of Joint Secretary, without the need to refer the cases to DOPT. (DOPT OM No. 31011/18/2023-Estt (A-IV) dated 21.12.2023)

• விடுப்பு பயணச் சலுகை (LTC) கோரிக்கைகள், திரும்பி வந்த பயணத்தை முடித்த மூன்று மாதங்களுக்குள் சமர்ப்பிக்கப்பட வேண்டும். முன்பணம் பெற்றிருந்தால், கோரிக்கை ஒரு மாதத்திற்குள் சமர்ப்பிக்கப்பட வேண்டும்.
• பணியாளர் மற்றும் பயிற்சித் துறையின் (DOPT) அலுவலகக் குறிப்பாணை (OM) தேதியிட்ட 27.9.2007 இன் படி, முன்பணம் எடுக்கப்படாவிட்டால் இந்த காலக்கெடு ஆறு மாதங்கள் வரை நீட்டிக்கப்படலாம், மேலும் முன்பணம் எடுக்கப்பட்டால் மூன்று மாதங்கள் வரை நீட்டிக்கப்படலாம்.
• LTC முன்பணம் எடுக்கப்பட்டு, ஒரு மாதத்திற்குள் கோரிக்கை சமர்ப்பிக்கப்படாவிட்டால், முழு முன்பணத் தொகையும் 45 நாட்களுக்குள் திருப்பிச் செலுத்தப்பட வேண்டும்.
