69. Allocation of Inspector Posts after the exam
• The IP and ASP cadres are managed centrally by the Directorate (per OM dated July 12, 2022).
• Direct recruits will be allotted only to postal circles. No postings at the Directorate or CEPT (Centre for Excellence in Postal Technology) are allowed initially.\
• Allocation is based on merit-cum-preference, subject to vacancy availability.
• Promotee IPs must submit their circle preference at the time of application or before results are declared.
• Promotee IPs are also initially allotted to circles only (no Directorate or CEPT). Allotment is based on merit-cum-preference and vacancy availability.
• The reservation roster is maintained centrally at the Directorate.
• Promoted ASPs are preferably allotted to their parent circle.
• If no vacancy exists in the parent circle, they may be allotted to any other circle, the Directorate, or CEPT.
• Inter-circle transfers for IPs and ASPs are not covered under Rule 38 initially.
• They can apply for inter-circle transfer after one year of service.
• Applications can be submitted online through the Rule 38 portal and will be considered quarterly.

• IP மற்றும் ASP-க்கான வட்டங்களுக்கு இடையேயான இடமாற்றங்கள் ஆரம்பத்தில் விதி 38 இன் கீழ் வராது.
• அவர்கள் ஒரு வருடம் சேவை முடிந்த பிறகு வட்டங்களுக்கு இடையேயான இடமாற்றத்திற்கு விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம்.
