8. How do you define the Misconduct - in relation to the disciplinary proceedings against Government Servants?
 Any conduct contrary to the provisions of the CCS (Conduct) Rules - 1964 or any other rules made to regulate the performance of the Government servant is considered as misconduct.

9. Why Disciplinary proceedings are initiated against a Government Servant?
 Disciplinary proceedings are initiated for an offense, misconduct he commits in contravention of the rules of conduct/rules regulating his performance and also when he has been convicted for any criminal offense in a court of law.

10. When Disciplinary proceedings are initiated?
 It is initiated when the appropriate Disciplinary Authority decides.

11. How the Disciplinary proceedings are initiated against a Government Servant? How it is conducted and concluded?
 By scrupulously following the prescribed procedure in CCS (CCA) Rules - 1965 and strictly observing the basic principles of Natural Justice and the spirit and purpose of the relevant constitutional provisions.
